In the “Homescreen!” series, we present the homescreens of people from the social media, marketing, media and tech industries – including app recommendations and tips for everything from to-do lists to small games for in-between times. Today: Artur Wagner, Chief Digital Officer at Braun Büffel.

Artur Wagner: My phone is a Samsung Galaxy A54 5G. I've always used Android and am a complete creature of habit. It's not important to me to always have the latest top model.

Since I also use my cell phone privately, my main concern is that I can take lots of good photos of my children with my smartphone. With the following apps I stay up to date in my everyday work.

Emails and teams

The first thing I do in the morning is check my email. They keep me up to date professionally and personally and help me plan my day and make sure I don't miss anything important.

At Braun Büffel we use Microsoft Teams (for Android) not only for video calls, but also as a chat platform. Whether I need to ask a quick question or have a longer conversation, Teams allows me to seamlessly interact with my colleagues.

Distances are short and communication is efficient. With the app I can easily access conversations or take part in video conferences while on the go.

Analytics (Google) und Authenticator

The Google Analytics app (for Android) is my faithful companion when it comes to keeping an eye on the performance of our Braun Büffel online shop. It gives me a clear overview of important customer interactions. No matter whether I'm in the office or on the go, I can track the performance directly on my smartphone and am always up to date.

Microsoft Authenticator (for Android) is one of my most important applications. It provides an additional layer of security for access to my business accounts and applications.

Two-factor authentication allows me to ensure that only authorized people can access sensitive data. Ultimately, as CDO, it is not only my job to digitize all relevant processes at Braun Büffel, but also to keep the topic of security on my agenda.

Social Media

Instagram (for Android) and Facebook (for Android) are networks where we advertise. Here I primarily track the performance of our ads. LinkedIn (for Android), on the other hand, is my personal go-to place for networking with industry experts and expanding my professional network.

Through my regular activity, I not only stay in touch with friends and colleagues, but I also keep up to date with industry trends.

Music and entertainment

I'm a big fan of podcasts, so I use Spotify (for Android) every day. Whether in the morning on the way to work, in the evening on the way home or on longer business trips – car journeys offer me the ideal opportunity to switch off and get information and further education with the help of podcasts.

I also need a break from everyday work every now and then. Then 9GAG (for Android) gives me other ideas. The humorous memes always make me smile and clear my head for new ideas.
