Smartphone manufacturer Vivo presented its latest flagship smartphone for the European market, the Vivo X80 Pro, in Berlin. We have all the information.

The Vivo X80 Pro is the first flagship from Vivo for Europe in 2022, which comes with a lot of technology and a Zeiss cooperation.

The device has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor from Qualcomm and with 12 gigabytes of RAM as well as a version with 256 gigabytes of internal memory. In addition to the SoC processor, there is also a Vivo V1+ chip, which is supposed to ensure better efficiency in photos.


The smartphone is also equipped with a 6.78-inch 120 Hertz LTPO AMOLED panel that supports a maximum resolution of 3200 x 1440. The battery measures 4700 milliampere hours (mAh) and can be charged to 58 percent in 15 minutes using the 80 watt power adapter supplied, according to the manufacturer.

Wireless charging is again possible with 50 watts. The fingerprint sensor sits under the display and is said to be the fastest and largest sensor in the industry.

Vivo X80 Pro: Four cameras should ensure very good recordings

There are four camera sensors on the back, with the main camera being an adapted Samsung sensor. Ultra wide-angle and portrait lenses come from Sony. When it comes to software, Vivo has worked with the German camera specialist Zeiss.

The main camera has a resolution of 50 megapixels, the ultra wide angle of 114 degrees with 48 megapixels. The portrait camera has a resolution of 12 megapixels, a five-fold optical zoom lens with 10 megapixels completes the camera segment.

The sensors are located in a small “bump” on the back, which is only available in “Cosmic Black”. The 32-megapixel front camera sits in a camera hole in the center of the display and is slightly rounded.

As software, Vivo has Android 12 pre-installed with “Funtouch-OS” surface. The manufacturer promises three major Android updates and four years of security patches. The smartphone is available from July 2022 for an RRP of 1299 euros. However, we are already working on a test of the device, which will appear at the market launch.
