In the “Homescreen!” series, we present the homescreens of people from the social media, marketing, media and tech industries – including app recommendations. Today: Christina Keller, Chief Strategy Officer at DDB Germany.
Christina Keller: I have been using two devices for years: one for personal use, the other for work. This separation is important for my psychological hygiene – it helps me to separate between work and free time. Today I'm showing my private home screen and the apps that keep me up to date and inspired in my everyday work.
As chief strategist, I am constantly on the go – be it to customers, events or internal meetings. Apps like Taxi (for Android), Uber (for Android) and Train (for Android) are indispensable for getting to your destination flexibly and on time. With Wallet I have quick access to tickets at any time, which makes my life much easier in my hectic everyday work life. Whether it’s a customer visit in Berlin or a strategy meeting in Munich – these apps are my reliable companions.

As advertisers, we not only need creativity, but also a good feel for social developments and trends. That's why it's crucial for me to always keep my finger on the pulse. In addition to social media, news and weather apps help me stay informed about everything important and always pack the right things.
In 2024, health will also be digitally controllable. Who would have thought that I would fall in love with an app – but between February and October, the first thing I do in the morning is the Pollen app (for Android). When the signs are red, my motto is: “Stay inside and let the world outside bloom!”
It helps me plan the day so that I don't have to deal with my arch-enemies unnecessarily. It's amazing how a digital tool now accompanies me like a little personal bodyguard.
Social networks
We advertise our customers and their brands on networks such as Instagram (for Android) and Facebook (for Android). For me, these platforms are not only part of my job, but also a piece of identity: Before I came to DDB as Chief Strategy Officer, I worked for Meta and am a “meta growth,” so to speak.
LinkedIn (for Android) is my personal “go-to place” for networking with other industry experts, finding inspiration and actively cultivating my professional network. This allows me to stay in touch with friends and colleagues while keeping track of the latest trends and innovations in our industry.
Books and podcasts
When I'm on the road and not working, I like to listen to audio books, reports and podcasts. Technical books play a central role in my consulting work as they expand and deepen my strategic thinking. For me, literature is also a valuable source of inspiration – it opens up new perspectives and helps me to develop ideas and stories that help our customers reach their target groups emotionally.
One of my favorite podcasts is the AI update from Heise with Isabel Grünewald. It gives me a good daily overview of current developments in the field of artificial intelligence and always inspires me to think about the importance of AI for creation and communication.
Notes
Probably the most important app on my devices is Notes. It is my mobile brain and my daily companion, always synchronized across all devices. Here I keep an “overall to-do list”, make spontaneous notes and collect ideas.
It is my central point of contact for thoughts, brainstorming and strategic approaches. I don't write anything on paper anymore – I want to be able to access my notes anytime, anywhere, whether on the train or in the car, to organize my thoughts and keep track of things.
Camera
At DDB I have conceptual and strategic tasks, but ultimately our work is very visual. For me, the camera is a valuable tool for capturing impressions that inspire me.
I encounter unusual compositions and visual details every day and incorporate them into our campaigns and ideas. In addition to my notes, these snapshots help me to continually discover new perspectives and capture what touches me visually.
