Pitch deck: 6 million euros for Matchory

The procurement startup Matchory has raised six million euros, including from Earlybird-X and Capmont. The company wants to expand its international growth and further develop its technologies.

The cloud-based platform collects relevant supplier information along the supply chain and makes it available to buyers. In addition, the data is optimized, enriched and updated using AI and web scraping, according to the startup. “Our approach is fundamentally different. While the competition continues to rely on a manual component to maintain data, our goal from the start was to automate this process to ensure scalability,” says Aiko Wiegand, co-founder and CEO of Matchory. “We have now reached a level where our automation is not only more efficient, but also more powerful than the manual alternative.”

With the platform, Matchory would have found a solution to reduce production costs by up to 50 percent.

As is often the case, the idea arose from a problem of his own, says Wiegand. “We were looking for strong ones ourselves Suppliers in the sports sector and noticed how non-transparent the market was. It was difficult to find the right manufacturers. After a while, when we had our own network, companies came to us so that we could place them.”

14 million supplier profiles

The Matchory database currently contains more than 14 million supplier profiles and therefore already covers more than 98 percent of the relevant manufacturers for strategic purchasing in the global market.
