A leading company in the financial industry has successfully taken a pioneering step into digitalization. To this end, it commissioned CONET to develop a tailor-made online portal. The portal aims to combine comprehensive functions such as fund management, document management and event organization in a single, user-friendly platform.

The project was realized through the collaboration of several specialized service providers. One of the partners provided the basic infrastructure while The CONET experts took care of the event components. Another service provider took over the adaptation and further development of an existing system, while the design was developed by a creative agency.

The CONET professionals and their partners have combined fund management, document management and event organization in a user-friendly online portal.

Each service provider worked on its own microservice or web component, which was then integrated into the central platform. Through regular sprint planning, weekly meetings, reviews and retrospectives Seamless integration and high functionality are ensured.

Project goal

The main goal of this project was the development of a unified portalthrough which the customer can view all relevant information – including funds, documents and events – centrally and without switching between different applications.

Evaluation phase

Before starting the project, a comprehensive study was carried out to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the existing applications. This study helped to capture user expectations of the new platform. The collected requirements were then passed on to the design team.

Designphase

In the design phase, the design team developed prototypes for each module using the Figma tool. A Consistent design was ensured through the integration of SD3 components. This ensured that all modules that were brought together in the central platform had a uniform appearance.

Development phase

The front-end framework Angular was used to develop the portal. SD components supported the design, and the connection to Dynamics was carried out via Azure API Management. What is particularly noteworthy is that a global web component was developed in Angular, which consists of various smaller building blocks such as buttons, text, teasers and images. These blocks use SD components, to ensure a consistent design. Over the course of the project, the components were continuously developed in sprints and tested through unit tests.

Test phase
