Today, live shopping on platforms such as Tikok is a huge trend – even the most important sales channel for many dealers, creators and brands. For us it was a long way there. We started selling clothes from our living room seven years ago. What started with no-name products on Facebook at the time is today a live shopping company with up to 1,000 live viewers and its own brand.
Here are our tips of the past few years and our first experiences with TikK-Liveshopping. For everyone who just wants to start.
We were among the first to use Facebook Livestreams to sell products. At that time it was smiled at, today it is an integral part of many online strategies. Won as a Tikok relevance, we were drawn directly. Here, too, we were one of the first German dealers who sold branded products through live streams.
Our conviction: Whoever is early has a lead. But only those who deliver constant remains relevant.
The challenge when entering the Tikok Shop was the registration at the beginning. There were many technical hurdles, such as the verification of the ID card that was solved after 2 to 3 days. There were also many platform guidelines, especially on licensed brands that you had to familiarize with. Gradually we developed the knowledge ourselves until a Tikok agent was assigned to us who actively supported us.

In the beginning you have to teach yourself a lot
When the Tikok Shop was officially announced in Germany (January 31, 2025), we knew: now or never. We registered directly – although there was almost no support for dealers. We had to teach ourselves a lot. From understanding the platform rules to the establishment of trust among customers. For everyone who wants to get in: calculate that you have to find out a lot on your own at the beginning. But that is exactly what distinguishes those who can do it from those who give up.
Only those who are live is visible
Sounds simple, but the core is: whoever goes live regularly wins. Continuity is the key. We also started with five spectators – today it is 800 to 1,000 per stream. It's not about selling everything on the first stream, but building a community.
Our rule of thumb: If you are not live, you are not visible. On Sundays at 8 p.m., it turned out to be our best streaming time, as our viewers then have more time and desire to switch on. In addition, we upload a video every other day and ultimately ask a question to promote commitment – the audience comments hard, which also helps us increase visibility.
Be authentic
Technically speaking, you don't need much: a good light, a stable stream, clear product information. But the most important thing is authenticity. Show yourself, speak to your community, be present – people don't just buy products, they buy from people. Our personality in the stream is honest, funny and open -minded – we want the audience to feel comfortable and communicate with us at eye level. Humor, honesty and openness in product selection, even if a perfume does not smell good, are important to build trust.

Affiliate marketing and partnerships: Quality via quantity
Even before Tikok became really popular, we realized that affiliate marketing and partnerships with influencers are an incredibly valuable part of the live shopping strategy. We integrated influencers in our livestreams early and that helped us to increase the reach.
But this is not just about winning “a few influencers”. It is crucial to choose partners who are really behind the product and authentically represent their opinion. We checked all the creator profiles and only worked with those who were able to express a clear, honest opinion and to be entertaining.
The most important thing: you can't just say with every product that it is good just to sell it. If you make promises that do not apply, you lose more than just one purchase. Trust is the decisive factor. If customers realize that you don't really stand by a product, you will not come back – and it is much more harmful in the long term than having sold a product at short notice.
That is why our motto has always remained: quality is not what you sell, but what always brings the customer back to you. And that also applies to our affiliate partners. We rely on real partnerships and not on unique deals.
Put on their own brands early
In retrospect, we would rely faster on my own brand. In 2021 we launched our own brand “LSQ24 argan oil”. The process was our dream for a long time and the customer feedback was very positive. After the first 100 bottles we had sold, we decided to expand production to 10,000 bottles. We also supplied beauticians from Friesenheim with our product, which gave us an additional basis of trust. Brand binding, margins, recognition value – all of this is much better controlled with a private label. And: you no longer only sell a product, but a feeling, an identity. Our advice: If you want to be successful in the long term, you should not only sell, but also build it up.
Conclusion: Success comes when you stay on. We never stopped dreaming – and never stopped working. Our life path was not always easy: full -time social worker, study, on the side, streams, packages packing, customer service. But if you want to be successful today, you need more than luck. You need vision, hard work-and a lot of live time. Our most important tip for beginners: start. Be patient. And stays on it.
