Petrol prices have been at a high level for some time. When buying a new car, many people are therefore opting for a car with low fuel consumption. In our weekly ranking we show you the ten most economical petrol engines in the mid-range class.
In recent years, fuel prices have risen sharply. The reduction in energy tax decided by the federal government did provide some temporary relief. However, this was not a permanent solution.
It is therefore worth taking a look at fuel consumption, especially when buying a new car. The good news is that there are plenty of economical petrol engines – from small cars to luxury models.
The most economical petrol engines in the mid-range
The ADAC regularly looks at new cars in different vehicle classes and checks the consumption of the models. This is based on the respective manufacturer's information according to the new WLTP cycle. The evaluation also includes the purchase price and the total costs per month.
These include depreciation, taxes and insurance as well as inspections, wear and tear repairs and tire replacement. The automobile club calculates the fuel costs based on an annual mileage of 15,000 kilometers. In the following ranking we show you the ten most economical gasoline engines in the mid-range – according to the ADAC.
10th place: Renault Arkana E-Tech Full Hybrid 145 Techno Automatic
The Renault Arkana E-Tech Full Hybrid 145 Techno with automatic transmission ranks tenth in the ranking of the most economical petrol cars in the mid-range. Its standard consumption is 4.7 liters per 100 kilometersThe total cost of the model is 55.9 cents per kilometer. The base price is 34,100 euros.
