A Swedish company wants to make city traffic safer with its electric car “Luvly O”. During production, the electric car manufacturer relies on a patented system that is intended to further reduce environmental pollution. Cost point for the electric vehicle: around 10,000 euros.
At the end of 2022, electric cars in Germany will have broken the million mark for the first time. Because as of January 1, 2023, around 1.01 million electric vehicles were registered in Germany. This number is certainly a milestone for electromobility.
However, if you look at the total number of vehicles registered in Germany, e-cars still only make up a small fraction. At the beginning of the year, the number of registered cars in Germany also set a new record. As of January 1, 2023, around 48.76 million vehicles were registered in Germany.
Small electric cars could make a difference, especially for city traffic. That’s what the Swedish company Luvly did, which wants to offer a cheap and small alternative to the normal car with its Luvly O.

Above all, the price speaks for the electric car Luvly O. Because the Swedish company wants to sell its small electric car from a price of 10,000 euros. The model should therefore be significantly cheaper than conventional cars and established e-models.
According to the manufacturer, the Luvly O achieves a top speed of up to 90 kilometers per hour. However, the range is only 100 kilometers.
So that drivers do not have to spend an unnecessarily long time at charging stations, they can easily replace the removable batteries of the electric car. In this way, the journey can be continued after a short break.

However, Luvly does not only want to make a contribution to the environment with his electric car. Because the manufacturer also reduces the ecological impact of production, transport and assembly with its patented flat pack system.
All parts of the electric car are individually flat-packed. The Swedish company then delivers these to small micro-factories near its customers. Only here is the e-car assembled.
According to Luvly, it saves 80 percent energy in the manufacture and operation of the vehicle compared to conventional electric cars.
Luvly also manufactures most parts of its little speedster from renewable materials. In addition, almost all vehicle parts are recyclable.
How safe is the Swedish electric car?
Energy absorbers and a sandwich composite safety shell are designed to protect the occupants. According to the manufacturer, “by far the best passive safety compared to all comparable vehicles” can be achieved in this way.
Luvly vehicles are built like formula cars.
This makes Luvly vehicles an “alternative to cars that weigh tons” that can contribute to safer city traffic.
