A solid bike lock not only protects your two-wheeler from theft, but also saves you a lot of stress. The police meanwhile recorded more than 265,000 bicycle thefts for the year 2022. But which providers offer the best bicycle locks and how much do they cost?
The best bike locks in the test
Stiftung Warentest compared 81 bicycle locks with each other. The best locks were analyzed in terms of security, handling, durability and freedom from harmful substances. In the following ranking we present the results and thus the ten best bicycle locks on the German market.
Platz 10: Axa Newton Pro 190
Tenth place in the ranking goes to an Axa padlock. The Newton Pro 190 model costs an average of 40 euros online. Security and durability were each rated “very good”. Overall, however, the castle only achieves the judgment of 5,5. The reason: a high proportion of pollutants.
