The G-value depends on the type of glazing:

  • Simple glazing: 0.75 to 0.87

  • Sun protection glazing: 0.25 to 0.50

The G-value should be adapted to the energy balance of a building. It should be as low as possible in northern windows, while a higher G-value is recommended on the south side to take advantage of solar energy.
