In the “Homescreen!” series we present the homescreens of people from the social media, marketing, media and tech world – including app recommendations and tips for everything from to-do lists to small games in between. Today: Peer-Arne Böttcher, Managing Director of Turnbull.

For private and professional communication I use the classics WhatsApp (for Android), Slack (for Android), Outlook (for Android), Gmail (for Android) and at least for the moment LinkedIn (for Android). For research, so to speak, because we want to replace LinkedIn completely with our own Turnbull app in the near future.

It contains many other tools that you all need to do business – let yourself be surprised! Of course, I already installed the Turnbull app myself. I use the Business Club Hamburg application, which I founded many years ago, to book conference rooms and plan events.

An app for hobby cyclists and hikers

One app that I highly recommend to all hobby cyclists and hikers is Komoot (for Android). This allows you to plan wonderful routes and discover new routes. With the help of Komoot, I recently cycled from Hamburg to Munich with my 15-year-old son.

In turn, I also tracked this via the Adidas running app in order to achieve my monthly athletic goals. I do the same thing on longer walks with the dog, which I like to be inspired by podcasts for. So Spotify (for Android) and Apple Podcasts are of course indispensable.

Football is not easy as an HSV fan

Nor would I want to do without the OneFootball app (for Android), which I can use to stay up to date on current football events – even if that’s not always easy as a HSV fan. At OneFootball, I particularly appreciate the option of personalized push notifications, so I really only see what interests me.

Since I like to travel a lot, both professionally and privately, I use several applications from the hvv app (for Android) to the Lufthansa app (for Android) to organize my trips. I particularly like the Flightradar24 app (for Android), with which I can not only view all current information for my upcoming flights, but also for every plane that I see in the sky above me.

When I’m not on the plane, I’ve been driving a fully electric Tesla since 2014, which is why the Tesla app (for Android) shouldn’t be missing either. When it comes to finances, I also want to keep an overview, so my banking apps are at the forefront and the calculator is always at hand.
