CONET will also have a stand at this year's LogiMAT, the international trade fair for intralogistics solutions and process management. CONET experts will present a visualized reporting solution from Microsoft for logistics and processes. Our solution is designed to enable companies to gain a detailed insight into areas such as inventory and its utilization for different locations. The solution can thus support process optimization without losing track of things due to complicated Excel tables.

Warehouse management with Microsoft Power BI

The core of our Power BI demo report is the visualization of a previously selected warehouse using a map view. The user can see all available warehouses in Germany on one interface and select the desired warehouse.

The report page opens as shown in the screenshot. On the left side there is a map of the warehouse, which allows you to navigate through the individual shelves. The results on the right side adapt dynamically to the selected shelf. The design of this map can be individually adapted to the actual conditions of the company – be it a single warehouse or a factory site on which various warehouses are located.

The representations include the current utilization of the warehouse in percent and absolute (with a target value mark) for the current month. Below this, the utilization trend is shown, followed by a bar chart showing the current inventory of the individual product groups. The two visualizations on the right show inflows and outflows in the warehouse, both the actual values and their sum, which can be positive or negative.

The user can quickly get an overview of the current events in his or her camp or in various camps in order to be able to make more targeted decisions.

Fleet management, route planning and much more – no problem with Power BI!

With Microsoft Power BI, we offer companies the opportunity to visualize and link data in a variety of ways. Using a filter selection, the report can show at which locations an order can be covered or which warehouses would have to be visited in order to fulfill the order request. This can lead to an optimization of the existing processes by linking both the availability of resources for transport and the availability of goods in the warehouse. The use of Microsoft Power BI also offers the following possibilities:

  • Flottenmanagement: Fleet overview including CO2 footprint
  • Route planning: What is the shortest or most economically viable route?
  • Process optimization: Linking resource availability for transport and goods availability in warehouses

This optional extension gives you the opportunity to present “what-if” scenarios at any time.
