The Cologne-based software company Eyva.ai has completed a seed financing round worth 2.7 million euros. This was led by the venture capitalists Wenvest Capital and Earlybird (invested in Aleph Alpha, among others, when it comes to AI). Other investors include True Global Ventures from Great Britain, Robinventures, the solo GP fund from serial founder Robin Haak, Superangels and Wepa Ventures.
With their startup, founded in 2022, the two founders Djef Riad Rifamole and Wilhelm Raider are developing software that has so far been aimed specifically at product teams from the beauty and personal care industry. With an AI-supported platform, they want to help accelerate and make the development of new beauty products more efficient. “Companies often waste valuable resources in product development,” says CEO Djef Riady Rifamole. Worst waste of time and manpower: research. Product teams spend an average of ten hours per week researching which products COULD be in demand – while almost 60 percent of all product launches fail, according to the Eyva founders.
Data-based decisions instead of gut feeling
The Eyva.ai platform now connects consumer, market and product data to help companies make strategic decisions. The goal: Identify product gaps, recognize opportunities and specifically remove poorly performing items from the range.
In addition to product management, marketing and research departments will also be involved in the future. Eyva.ai wants to help companies react faster and more precisely to market changes. And: Originally started in the beauty and personal care sector, the company, equipped with fresh capital, now wants to expand into other consumer goods markets – and into other countries.
