High-quality digital cameras deliver image quality that smartphones cannot compete with. But which models are currently among the most powerful? In our weekly ranking we show you the ten best digital cameras – according to Stiftung Warentest.

Smartphone cameras are now of very good quality. However, they still cannot keep up with high-quality digital cameras. Because these have functions such as foldable monitors, electronic viewfinders and countless settings for manual image adjustments. There are also usually interchangeable lenses.

Stiftung Warentest currently has a total of 284 cameras in its database, priced between 200 and 4,000 euros. Among them: renowned brands such as Canon, Fujifilm, Nikon and Sony.

The best digital cameras

The consumer organization has subjected all models to various tests. Among other things, vision tests were carried out in various lighting situations. Image stabilization was tested using a shaker test stand. In addition, a thorough check of the viewfinder, monitor and handling took place. Platz 10: Panasonic Lumix DC-GH5M2L

The Panasonic Lumix DC-GH5M2L is in tenth place in the ranking of the best digital cameras. The Stiftung Warentest awarded the Overall grade 1.5. The mirrorless system camera has a medium-sized image sensor in Micro Four Thirds format and a normal focal length of 25 millimeters with 20 megapixels.
