They serve as a work tool, an entertainment medium, a camera and for communication: smartphones are now indispensable for many people. They have developed rapidly since their invention. The market is currently filled with many models that vary in their shapes, functions and price. But not all smartphones are an asset.

The American online magazine Slash Gear has looked at various smartphones and compiled a list of the worst models. They were based on various criteria. The devices either had to have glaring defects or had received bad reviews. In the following ranking we show you the ten worst smartphones of all time.

1. Galaxy Note 7

The Galaxy Note 7 was one of the best-selling products in the smartphone segment for a while. However, around 2016, reports began circulating that the phones would catch fire and burst into flames. The device was therefore banned on airplanes and in public places for safety reasons. Samsung had to recall it. The Galaxy Note 7 is therefore one of the worst smartphones of all time.
