The Berlin Ki Startup Mercanis has new investors on board. Partech and AVP took part in the recently completed Series A financing of $ 20 million (around 17 million euros). Partech is a Paris VC, invests internationally in early stage startups and Later-Stage.
German startups such as Koro, The Exploration Company and Coachhub are found in the portfolio. AVP has offices in New York, London and Paris and is invested in Zenjob, for example.
Existing investors are also involved in the round: Signals.VC, Capmont Technology and Speedinvest. Just like several Business Angels, for example the Klarna co-founder Victor Jacobsson.
The product of Mercanis
Mercanis moves in the area of procurement – bulky word, means procurement. The startup has developed a platform so that companies can design their processes in this area. Supplier management and contract management included. All of this with AI, of course. The analyzing the procurement data continuously with the aim of identifying savings potential along the entire process chain.
According to their own statements, the Mercanis company's platform enables savings potential of up to 40 percent. With its solution, the startup is aimed at medium -sized and large companies. Among the customers are the sports equipment manufacturer Wilson, Gasag and BS Energy.

Mercisis was founded in 2020 by Fabian Heinrich and Moritz Weiermann. The startup now has around 40 employees. In August 2023, SEED financing of $ 10 million completed it.
With the current capital from the Series-A, Mercanis wants to advance the expansion, especially to the US market, and its AI solution. According to Vivatech, Mercanis is one of the 36 German hopes of hope and is part of this year's ranking of the “Top 100 Rising European startups”.
