Edurino builds learning products for preschool children. This includes the same learning app Edurino, an ergonomic input pencil and a character that starts the content of the app. Each character offers a different learning content. The business model? The tonibox principle. It is the combination of hardware and software that made Edtechs like Edurino great.

Right timing and other plans

The startup association recently recognized Klemm and Meyer as founders in 2025. The time for Series B is just right for the Munich Edtech startup. The founders have used the past few years to expand the product portfolio and reach more customers, says Klemm. In addition, the startup expanded to UK in late 2023. “We were able to show that our product also works internationally.”

With the fresh capital, Edurino is planning new content such as video formats. Likewise, characters should be added as game figures. The startup also wants to expand internationally and double the presence in inpatient trade by the end of the year. The products from Edurino should be available in Ravensburger-Stores, as Klemm says.

Irene, With how much lead time did you plan the Series B?

We started preparing about half a year earlier. The fourth quarter is always particularly important for us because Edurino is often under the tree as a Christmas present and is also used for school preparation in the new year. The numbers from this time were the basis for the start of the Series B.
